Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord will provide, was the faith and testimony of Abraham in Genesis 22 when God called him to offer his son Isaac as a burnt offering on Mount Moriah. At the Good News Hospital, God's people have been reminded time and again that "The Lord provides." Whether it be staff, or finance, a source of water, and much more - it is on the Lord's provision that we rely.
We invite you to watch Ted Watts' account of the Lord's provision in meeting the need for surgeons at the Good News Hospital - and hope you will praise the Lord with us for His faithfulness.
Dr Daniel Kradolfer is a Swiss surgeon who has been working at the Good News Hospital since 2022. He will be starting officially as one of the surgical faculty (the name for the trainers) soon. Please pray that the Lord will enable him to be a good trainer of others
Dr Toavina is a young Malagasy Christian doctor from Tana who is joining the team of doctors at the hospital in November and will start as a new "resident" (trainee surgeon) in January 2024. Pray that he will learn to become not only a good and skilled surgeon, but one who points his patients to the Lord Jesus.
Our first two trainee surgeons, Dr Tefy and Dr Rado, who started their training in January 2022, will be sitting COSECSA exams this year. COSECSA is the College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa - the examining body for surgeons in the region. The exams include a viva in English which will be a big challenge for them in their third language! Please pray for the Lord's help for them.
